After leaving your hotel (Bangkok or Pattaya) in the early morning, having breakfast (coffee, tea and toast) we will go straight to visit a coconut sugar producer and the original Floating Market of the world “Damnoen-Saduak” where almost everything can be bought or sold and see the life of people leaving by the canal and peddling their goods. We proceed to the Royal Thai Handicraft Factory where we see skillful craftsmanship of teak wood and carving product were seen. Lunch is at Kanchanaburi (City of the River Kwai) where we visit The Jeath - Museum in the afternoon we continue another 80 kms. towards the jungle close the Burma to stay at the Floating Hotel on the River Kwai. This is the real highlight of the trip : The room is basic, clean and comfortable but with no electricity, lighting is by oil-lamp which adds to the atmosphere. |

After Breakfast we explore the River Kwai by taking long tail-boat and we will have lunch in one of the restaurants in the town. After lunch we will board the train for a stunning journey along the well know part of “Death Railways” so named because not less than 100,000 people died in building this railway and on the way we will have a view of the one of waterfalls in Kanchanaburi and will see the War Cemetery where the deceased prisoners of the War were buried at the former site of the prisoner of War Camp. In the afternoon we will return to your hotel (Bangkok or Pattaya) arriving at approximately 17.00 hrs. |
